PROGRAM
"America the Beautiful"
Notice: On January

the "America the Beautiful Pass Program." Golden Age/Access Passports

unless lost or stolen.
America the Beautiful Senior
Pass
For persons 62 and Older
What is it?
The Senior Pass has replaced the Golden Age Passport.
The Senior Pass is a lifetime entrance pass to those national
parks, monuments, historic sites, recreation areas, and national
wildlife refuges that charge a Land and Water Conservation Fund Act (LWCFA)
entrance fee. It may be used at many Federal lands such as U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service, and Bureau of Reclamation.
The Senior Pass admits the pass holder and any accompanying
passengers in a private vehicle. Where entry is not by private
vehicle, the passport admits the pass holder, spouse, and children.
The Senior Pass also provides a 50% discount on federal LWCFA
use fees charged for facilities and services such as camping,
swimming, parking, and boat launching. It typically does not cover or
reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by
concessionaires. In some cases, where use fees are charged, only the
pass holder will be given the 50% reduction.
How do I get one?
Senior Passes may be obtained in person at any federal area
where a LWCFA entrance fee is charged. Senior Passes are not
available through U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facilities. There is a one-time $10
