The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District is accepting bids to lease a total of 29 acres for the purpose of commercial concession (marina) operations at Little River Marina on J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake near Appling, Ga. The site includes roads, an access ramp, and buildings. The site will be leased on a competitive basis to the individual or organization presenting the best plan for development meeting the criteria as follows and set out in the application package. UPDATE: The Corps of Engineers hosted a Pre-Proposal Conference for interested bidders on Jan. 17, 2012. As a result of that meeting, a change was introduced to the minimum facility requirements, to include an above-ground fuel tank and fuel dock. Thus, the Corps has extended the application deadline from Feb. 3 to Feb. 21
