Mission

The Savannah District Real Estate Division buys, manages and sells land for both military and federal government use. The diverse workload spans a broad spectrum from management of recreational lake areas and timber harvesting to leasing military recruitment stations. It also includes land acquisition and property management overseas.

The Real Estate Division has the unique responsibility to administer HAP, the Homeowners Assistance Program. It’s designed to assist eligible service members and federal civilians, including non-appropriated fund employees, who face financial loss when selling their primary residence homes under specified conditions. The Savannah HAP branch has oversight for the eastern U.S. and Europe.
