SAVANNAH, Ga. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, will close or partially close certain recreation sites for the season at J. Strom Thurmond Lake beginning Sept. 8, 2026.

- Parksville boat ramp

Some recreation areas that normally remain open year-round will be temporarily affected by paving work during the off-season. Specific locations and closure dates will be announced once the paving schedule is finalized.
