U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, buoys inspection results at Lake Hartwell

HARTWELL LAKE, Ga. and S.C. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, recently conducted an “Aids to Navigation” inspection on Hartwell Lake to inventory all buoys, shoal markers and other aids to navigation to ensure proper placement, working condition and visibility.

Corps of Engineers to expand parking at Broyles Recreation Area on Lake Hartwell

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Hartwell Lake Project Office will begin construction of an additional parking area at Broyles Recreation Area in Anderson County, South Carolina, beginning the week of April 30, with completion anticipated by July 1. The area will remain open for public use during the duration of the project.

Corps temporarily closes Hatton’s Ford boat ramp at Lake Hartwell for improvements

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Hartwell Lake Project Office will temporarily close the Hatton’s Ford Boat Ramp in Anderson County, South Carolina, on Nov. 8, to expand and improve the boat ramp approach and parking area. Officials expect the closure will take approximately two weeks. The ramp should reopen on Nov. 22, weather permitting.
