Air Curtain Operation in Dredge Disposal Area 1N
Corps Civil Engineer Jessica Power observes as workers gather piled up debris from one of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District’s dredge disposal sites. The area once consisted of 95 acres of heavily vegetated and wooded land. After clearing the area, workers for the Savannah District used a process called air curtain burning for quick, clean disposal of piled-up vegetation. USACE Photo by George Jumara.
