Sgt. 1st Class John Beale and his daughter, Calye, play chess together on the floor of their home. After his last active-duty assignment at llesheim, Germany, in 1995, John and his wife Crystal moved back to Riverdale, Georgia, where they welcomed their son Christopher in 1996 and their second child, Calye, in 2001.
