U.S. Army Corps of Engineers begins Hurricane Michael debris clean-up in Georgia

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers along with local government officials, announces the start of debris removal activity in Georgia, under the direction of the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) and Federal Emergency Management Agencies (FEMA) as part of the FEMA debris mission assignment. The first haul is scheduled to take place Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at 3 p.m., between 144 and 198 Somerset Drive in Albany, Georgia. All interested media are invited to attend for coverage. For the next several months debris will be picked up by contractors operating under the direction of the Corps of Engineers, GEMA/HS and FEMA. [Read More]
