Low flows in the lower river have prevented boating access to backwater habitats for recreational fishing, and exposed habitats that are used by fishes and mussels. Pictured is an oxbow near Catfish Hole Point, taken by Will Duncan USFWS on November 9, 2012. This particular oxbow is used by local fishermen and duck hunters.
