From left to right) Maj. Yvette McCrea, Lt. Col. Jennifer Wiley, Col. Ronald J. Place, Brig. Gen. John H. Hort, Kevin Kuntz, Maj. Brian Tritten, and Lt. Col. Ross Davidson break ground on phase two of an expansion and renovation project at Winn Army Hospital, Jan. 10, 2013. With a contract value of $37 million, phase two will expand and renovate the hospital's dining facility and add an additional 23,000-square-foot emergency department. It will also double the size of the pharmacy, expand the Family and Internal Medicine Clinic, and add 234 new parking spaces. Last January, the Corps broke ground on a phase one, which was a $23.1 million expansion (65,000 square feet). The overall expansion and renovation has an estimated completion of October 2016. The schedule requires relocating operational clinics to temporary facilities while construction takes place in those areas.
