Clarks Hill Park boat ramp and parking area to close for improvements

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The boat ramp and parking area in the Clarks Hill Park on Thurmond Lake in McCormick County, South Carolina, will close Nov. 13 – Dec. 15 for major improvements. Picnic areas and beaches in the park will remain open.

Boaters may continue to use nearby ramps at Lake Springs in Columbia County, Georgia, and Scott’s Ferry in McCormick County, South Carolina. Lake Springs is accessible from US 221, also known as GA-150 or Cobbham Road. Scott’s Ferry is accessible from SC-28.
