Lake Hartwell’s Glenn Ferry access area to close temporarily for road repairs

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Hartwell Lake Project Office will temporarily close the Glenn Ferry boat ramp in Anderson County, South Carolina, on Oct. 29 to repair the access road. Repair work will take approximately two weeks and the ramp should reopen by Nov. 9, weather permitting.

 Boaters displaced by the temporary closure are encouraged to use nearby ramps to launch. The nearest ramp is Hattons Ford approximately 8 miles away, located at the end of Andersonville Road off of Old Dobbins Bridge Road.
