CLARKS HILL, S.C. – Due to Hurricane Helene impacts, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, J. Strom Thurmond Project Office has closed all trails until further notice.
All trails managed by the Corps of Engineers on Lake Thurmond will remain closed until they are made safe to access. This includes, but is not limited to, the trail at Bussey Point, Below Dam South Carolina, Lake Springs, and the Bartram Trail. For safety reasons, all visitors are asked to stay off the trails.
Once trailheads are safe to open, updates will be posted through the Savannah District’s Facebook, Instagram and website. Please scan the QR code below to access the District’s social media platforms.
