Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Starting June 1, 2013, only those individuals or groups, who subscribe to the new system, will receive electronic notification or printed copies of Public Notices. OVERALL PROJECT PURPOSE:  Various, minor routine activities conducted at listed Mobile District facilities, including:  maintenance of existing beaches, boat slips, canals, docking and berthing areas, navigation channels; construction and maintenance of piers, wharves and their normal appurtenances, boat shelters, gazebos, boat hoists, boat ramps, moorings, pilings, dolphins, rip-rap, bulkheads, cross-over walks, submersed cables, intake structures, jetties, breakwater structures, and submerged irrigation lines; and initial dredging activities.
