Email Notification of Public Notices and Attachments


Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Starting June 1, 2024, only those individuals or groups, who are subscribed to the system implemented in 2022 (Listserv), will receive an electronic notification to include all attachments of any Public Notices within the region(s) you identified. If you have previously subscribed, you do not need to take any additional action.  To subscribe, please complete this form and e-mail to cesas-rd@usace.army.mil or mail to: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers ATTN: CESAS-RD, 100 West Oglethorpe Avenue, Savannah, Georgia 31401-3604. COUNTY: Cobb, Fulton and DeKalb Counties

NEAREST NAMED WATERWAY: Upper Chattahoochee River Watershed and Middle Chattahoochee River Watershed, to Include the Chattahoochee River

OVERALL PROJECT PURPOSE:  The applicant has proposed to construct two elevated express lanes (EL) in each direction along a 19-mile stretch of Interstate (I)-285 between South Atlanta Road (Exit 16) and Henderson Road, as well as 3.5 miles of State Route 400 from south of Glenridge Connector to the vicinity of the North Springs Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority Station and one mile of I-85 from I285 to the vicinity of Pleasantdale Road. The project proposes a total of 23.5 miles of EL improvements. The purpose of the project is to improve transportation infrastructure, decreasing anticipated traffic volumes, delays and increase regional connectivity in the Atlanta metro area, Georgia.
