PROJECT NAME: Bagley Lane Site.

COUNTY:  Cobb.

NEAREST NAMED WATERWAY: Sweetwater Creek.

OVERALL PROJECT PURPOSE:  The overall project purpose is to construct an IOS facility (consisting of at least 25 acres of useable space) within a mile of the Norfolk Southern Intermodal Yard (known as the John W. Whitaker Intermodal Facility) in Austell, Georgia, for the sole purpose of supporting its operations.  The addition of an IOS facility would enhance the existing intermodal facility’s daily operations by allowing for 2,000 trucks to transport chassis from the intermodal facility and bring them to the subject site, then transfer and deliver them to other critical hubs.  Additionally, the site will serve as a storage yard, and contain a transfer station, office space, and repair shop.

PROJECT MANAGER:  Mr. Justin Edwards at justin.m.edwards@usace.army.mil or (678) 422-2724.
