Computer Modeling

Detailed survey information was used to define the study area. Particular attention was given to in-river features like the training wall, obstructions, and shallow areas near the shore.

The detailed design of the Fish Passage was completed using the latest science and best practices, in coordination with NOAA. The design was then included in the detailed Hydraulic Model.

The 2D Hydraulic model was used to determine with-project river levels, including: water depths during drought, flood inundation, shoreline movement, and potential impacts to docks and other features.
