Celebrate National Public Lands Day at Thurmond Lake

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Thurmond Lake invites the public to lend their support by giving a helping volunteer hand during our annual cleanup campaign. The big cleanup will take place Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at the Lake Springs Recreation Area and several other parks around the lake followed by a free volunteer picnic at the Lake Springs Recreation Area "Mallard Point" group shelter.
Volunteer projects include shoreline cleanup, tree trimming, park and trail maintenance and more! Children's volunteer activities are also available! All event participants will receive a free T-shirt and one day admission pass to any federal park of their choice!
The Sept. 26 check-in location will be at Lake Springs Recreation Area "Mallard Point" group shelter, 3900 Lake Springs Road, Appling, Georgia 30802.

Volunteer Service Agreement
Groups must complete and return one (1) Volunteers List in addition to the Volunteer Service Agreement.
