Corps to host youth dove hunts at Russell Lake

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will conduct two youth dove hunts at the Richard B. Russell Project Office on Sept. 9 and 16, 2017.  The hunts will begin at 2 p.m. and end at sunset. 

 

Youth hunters must be 9 to 15 years of age.   A parent or guardian must accompany youth participants and will be permitted to shoot along with the youth hunter.  To sign up for the hunt, hunters must call Jeff Brooks at 1-800-944-7207 ext. 3424 at the Russell Project Office not later than 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 6.   

 

There will also be a Corps dove field available for the general public near Middleton for a Sept. 9 and 16 hunt.  Contact Jeff Brooks at the phone number above for more information regarding the Middleton dove hunt.

 

Parents or guardians must be licensed in accordance with existing Georgia Game and Fish Regulations including the Migratory Bird Hunting License (H.I.P). All state regulations and bag limits will be strictly enforced.
