SAVANNAH, Ga. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Forest, Fish, and Wildlife Section at the J. Strom Thurmond Project will accept real Christmas trees for recycling as fish habitat, December 21, 2020, through January 17, 2021.

Hartwell Lake officials remind lake neighbors of upcoming electrical inspection requirement
SAVANNAH, Ga. – With the new year quickly approaching, officials from the Hartwell Dam and Lake Project remind adjacent property owners who have a Shoreline Use Permit authorizing electrical service on public land/water of the upcoming Feb. 1, 2021 deadline.

Work to begin at former Camp Croft to find and remove WW II munitions
SAVANNAH, Ga. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will begin conducting field work associated with the remedial action for Project 07 at the Camp Croft Formerly Used Defense Site (FUDS) on Dec. 14, 2020. Project 07 consists of approximately 1,277 acres within Croft State Park in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
