Standard Permits

A Standard Permit (SP) is one which has been processed through the public interest review procedures, including public notice and receipt of comments, described throughout this part. A project that does not qualify for general permit or letter of permission authorization is to be reviewed through the standard permit process (see 33 CFR 325.5(b)(1)), which includes a public notice, public interest review, environmental documentation, and, if applicable, a Section 404(b)(1) Guidelines compliance analysis.

To apply for a SP use the Joint Permit Application developed with our State partners (Georgia Department of Natural Resource, Environmental Protection Division and Coastal Resource Division) for use with their State of Georgia Marshland and Protection Permit, Revocable License Agreement, and Water Quality Certification.
