Clark's Hill Hannah Point

Parksville Shelter No.1

West Dam Shelter

Picnic Shelters and Day Use Recreation Area Rentals are available at many U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operated parks on Thurmond Lake. These shelters and day use areas are ideal for family reunions, birthday parties, church picnics, civic group meetings, company picnics, and other group outings. Shelter reservations are only for the exclusive use of the shelter.  All park amenities are available to the public.

Reservations for these areas can be made by calling the National Recreation Reservation Service toll-free at 877-444-6777; or go online to http://www.recreation.gov Methods of payment include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diners Club and American Express.  The full amount of payment must be tendered a the time of reservation.  Reservations may no longer be made at the Thurmond Lake Office.

Parking cannot be guaranteed. Most shelters have a limited number of reserved parking spaces that are included with the reservation. Because of limited parking, large groups should plan to arrive before 11 a.m.  Recreation areas do require a $5 area use fee for all vehicles entering the park. This applies to all vehicles.

Federal Park Regulations: Complete rules and regulations are from Title 36, Part 327, Rules and Regulations Governing Water Resources Development Projects, and posted at bulletin boards in parks and copies are available at the Thurmond Lake Office.
