Email Notification of Public Notices


Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Starting June 1, 2013, only those individuals or groups, who subscribe to the new system, will receive electronic notification or printed copies of Public Notices. SAS-2017-00921-ESA - 8/17/2018: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District (Corps), announces the publication and one-year initial implementation and testing of the Effects Determination Guidance for Endangered & Threatened Species (EDGES). The Corps and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Georgia Ecological Services office (FWS-GA) jointly developed the EDGES to more efficiently and effectively coordinate on projects that may affect species listed under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The EDGES are species keys, which incorporate pre-agreed upon levels of effects, resulting in expedited determinations of no effect and not likely to adversely affect (NLAA). There are 12 EDGES that cover 41 federally listed species in Georgia, and their listed critical habitat.
